One of the most magical experiences you can have in Africa is to participate in a community celebration. One where people of all ages come together to feast and tell stories, to laugh and play music, to dance so hard the ground rumbles. That same kind of celebration is happening here in Toronto on Saturday, October 16, at Bloor Street United Church.
Members of the African/Canadian community are organizing a fundraiser to suppor…t, and work in solidarity with, Elimu Sanifu and Kwari Village, two community-based initiatives in Kenya and Zimbabwe.
We invite you to come and share with us an exciting evening of music, poetry, storytelling, dance and food.
